Steve using the shield on Tony’s heart   ||   Thor using Mjolnir on Tony’s heart

#also isn’t sad but also ironic that #shield is a symbol of protection and steve uses it to hurt tony #hammer and miolnir is more a symbol for destruction and thor uses it to save tony (van-dyne)

I would just like to point out, as a flaming pagan, that we sometimes get lost in comic canon and forget when Marvel Thor does the most OG Thor things–remember, his job is to protect us puny Midgardians and keep us alive–that those things are, in fact, 100% things OG Thor would do, and not ironic at all. Yes, Thor wields a hammer. Those who read their mythology may recall Thor is a blacksmith god. His hammer is a hammer of creation, not just a warhammer. It’s a hammer that makes weapons, yes, but also horseshoes, shovels, nails, fences, and other daily-use objects that made historic human lives better.

So when Thor fixes fragile Midgardian Tony’s iron heart using mjolnir, that’s not just “funny” or “ironic”, that shit is a legit Thor thing to do.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk, and happy Thor'sday.
